Concerts

Both our Concerts today were most successful.  They were fun, and we had lots of audience participation.  The first Concert at Peninsula Palms was most energetic, with lots of audience participation.  They really enjoyed the Tipperary, Trouble Packers audience sing off!

I received a message from Trish (Lifestyle Coordinator at Peninsula Palms).  They LOVED the show!  We also LOVED the beautiful morning tea they put on for app 30 of us SUPers!

The second Concert at Beaumont Care was just as joyous, though, with an older audience, somewhat more subdued.  We had a lady in that audience who was 96, and an ex-dancer.  I was watching here tap her foot to our music.  That was a success for us.

We had a number of singers who performed solo today for the first time.  Well done all of you.  It is not easy to suddenly be in the spotlight.

I also had a chat with the lifestyle coordinator at Beaumont Care.  These people do great work.  I noticed her move round the group and cheer up people, one person at a time.  It is a good thing to participate in these events.

Sunday

If you have some spare time, I invite you to come down to Scarborough Beach on Sunday morning for a Play In The Park. These occasions are always enjoyable where we can inject some infectious music into strangers who are simply passing by.  We know it works.  We just have to see the kids bop to the music.

Wednesday Evening- 29 April
If you are free I have arranged a night of Uke Playing at Sandgate Social (formerly the Coffee club). I do hope we can have a good number of players attend.  It is a licensed restaurant (Italian Fare).  We plan on playing from 6:00pm till 8:00Pm.  Your attendance would be great.
