Redcliffe Show
I have been asked by the Redcliffe Show Committee to collect numbers for participation at this year’s Redcliffe Show.
As you know I am presuming I will not be there. We have a Medley List that most of us know and feel comfortable playing.
Quite a few people are away ATM, and they should simply merge back into the group upon their return. If no prior rehearsals with the group are possible, I simply ask that you play the songs at home till you feel comfortable.
I do ask, however, that out of respect for the group, anyone staying at home, and planning on being part of the gig, and I am sincerely hoping that that’s everyone, attends at least three practices of these songs so we have the best chance to put on a great show.
For example, those who attended Sandgate Social can say they have been to one rehearsal. If you look at the Calendar you will see there will be plenty of other opportunities to get these songs sounding like the record.
If you can commit to this request, and you wish to come and play at the Show, please let PENNY know (at Tribe on Monday). I realise that things can change, and that is ok.
Also, please state whether you can play Friday 26 June from 1:00 to 2:00pm, or Sunday 28 June from 12:00 to 1:00pm, or both. If you are fairly confident now please assume you will be going.
Also, if you have parking requirements maybe these can be sorted too (though I do not know this for sure)

Some Gig Possibilities
- At BallyCara I had a lady ask for our card, as she has a friend at another similar facility who wants to do what BallyCara does.
- I had a lady request that next time we visit (09 September) that we play Cotton Fields.
- Carmine (the BallyCara MC) was chatting after the event (he can chat). He mentioned that they have big crowds in the hall each Monday evening (they have raffles etc). I suggested that we might be considered for one of these evenings and he seemed warm to the idea. See note above
- Deidre was approached by someone from the Sandgate Uniting Church. They have an event once a month but a musical morning once a year. This year’s musical morning is from 10 am to midday on Saturday, 15th August.
